What is the procedure to replace/Change Karta after previous Karta's death in a Arihant HUF Demat account?
Upon the death of the Karta of a Hindu Undivided Family (HUF), the surviving member(s) may appoint a new Karta. The new Karta must be The eldest coparcener

| 1 | Notifier Intimation <PDF> | Must be mention PAN of deceased Karta and form must be duly signed by the Notifier / New Karta |
| 2 | ID Proof of Deceased Karta | PAN / Aadhaar / any valid ID proof, attested by the Notifier (signature required) |
| 3 | Death Certificate of Deceased Karta | Original for verification OR attested copy by New Karta / Notary Public / Gazetted Officer OR digitally signed copy from Government portal |
| Documents subjected to New Karta | ||
| 4 | Account opening form including KYC <PDF> | Must be filled & signed by New Karta with HUF stamp |
| 5 | New KARTA’s PAN | Self attested copy |
| 6 | New KARTA’s Aadhaar or any other OVD | Self attested copy |
| 7 | New Karta’s passport size Photo | Recent photograph of New Karta |

| 8 | HUF PAN | Copy must be signed by New Karta with HUF Stamp |
| 9 | HUF Bank | Bank statement with address signed by New Karta with HUF Stamp |

| 11 | New list of co-parceners (already included in form 40) | Must be signed by New Karta with HUF stamp |

| 12 | Declaration of Surviving Members (Form 40) | Must include Name, DOB, Gender, Relationship and signatures of all co-parceners + No Objection for New Karta appointment; must be signed by New Karta with HUF Stamp |
| 13 | Holding Statement | Must be signed by ALL surviving members AND New Karta |
| 14 | In case of Transaction done After death of Karta | No objection letter required on 100/- stamp paper |
