What is an IPO?
An IPO, or initial public offering is the first time a private company allows outsiders to purchase its shares. Once the company proceeds with the IPO, the shares of the said company get listed on the stock markets for easy trading. The company going forward is said to be going public.
By definition, it is the process of offering shares of a private organisation to the public in a new stock issuance.
