Who can be a coparcener in a HUF?
A coparcener in a Hindu Undivided Family (HUF) is a family member who has a birthright to the ancestral property and can demand its partition. Under the Hindu Succession Act, both male and female members born in the family can be coparceners. This includes sons, daughters, grandsons, and great-grandsons. Coparceners have the right to inherit, manage, and even seek division of the HUF property, unlike general members who do not have equal rights in property decisions.
