What document is required in an NRI account through PIS Schemes (NRE BANK ACCOUNT)?
To open an NRI account through PIS schemes, the following documents are required:

PIS letter | Self-attested copy of the PIS letter from the bank. NRIs can get the PIS letter with the help of the bank where the NRE account was opened. RBI has authorised only designated branches of a bank to administer the PIS. Mariner’s declaration or certified copy of Continuous Discharge Certificate (CDC) in case of Merchant Navy NRIs. |
