What is DDPI?


Demat Debit and Pledge Instruction or DDPI is a document that allows a broker to debit shares from the Demat account of a client and deliver them to the exchange for the limited purpose of meeting pay-in obligations for settlement of trades executed by them. It came into effect on 01 Sep 2022, and will be used for the pay-in of securities and margin pledge instructions.
