If you’re not able to pledge your holdings, it could be because of one of the following reasons:

● You’re trying to pledge stocks with open sell orders.

● You're trying to pledge shares that you bought using collateral margin funds.

● You’re trying to pledge shares that you bought via Margin Trading Facility (MTF).

● You’re trying to pledge stocks that you bought today that aren’t in your demat account yet.

● You’re trying to pledge your shares when the markets are closed.
