Why are there symbols next to stock names on my watchlist?
Each of these symbols represents an important corporate action. These elements make identifying stocks easier’
- Bonus: These stocks have declared a bonus today.
- Split: These stocks have split today.
- Ex Dividend: Stocks that have just paid out dividends have this tagged against them. The Ex-Dividend Date specifies when the shareholders would receive the company's declared dividend on the specified date. For example, it could be the day that the company's stock would go ex-dividend, which means it no longer carries the value associated with the subsequent dividend payout from that point forward.
- Cum Dividend: Stocks where the dividend is about to be paid.
