I have paid via NEFT / RTGS from someone else’s bank account, why is the fund not getting updated?-

As per SEBI guidelines, you can only use your own accounts to fund your trading account. Transfers from linked accounts are updated automatically, why don't you check the account you used? If you have used an unlinked bank account, your debited amount will be returned to you within 2-5 working days by your bank.
