What documents are required to open a minor trading & demat account?

To open a minor’s trading and demat account, documents are required for both the minor and the guardian. The guardian operates the account on behalf of the minor until the minor attains majority.

Documents to be submitted for the minor:

Minor’s Address Proof	Aadhaar card or passport of the minor
Minor’s Passport-size Photograph	Recent passport-size photograph of the minor

Legal Guardian Letter	Required only if the guardian is not the parent (e.g., grandparent or court-appointed guardian)

PAN Card	Self-attested copy of guardian’s PAN
Passport-size Photograph	Recent passport-size photograph of the guardian

All documents must be valid, clearly visible, and properly self-attested. The guardian is fully responsible for account operations until the minor reaches the age of 18.
